Fire protection – Firetec Systems

Firetec Systems used this year’s FIREX International to introduce itself to visitors and delegates as a new name in active fire protection.

Initially focusing on gaseous fire-suppression systems, this new organisation has evolved out of Berkshire-based Eurotech Fire Protection, and is part of Nitin Fire Protection Industries.

Firetec Systems says it offers a wide range of inert and chemical gas-based solutions. The company points out that gaseous fire-extinguishing systems are the preferred option for business-critical areas such as data centres, server rooms, telecommunications rooms, electrical switchgear, and plant rooms.

The firm is headed up by David Adkins (right), who said: “By operating at the cutting edge of product development and service provision, we are developing new and innovative strategies that will meet and exceed the demands of those requiring active fire protection.

“For example, we know that many companies are keen to reduce their impact on the environment and we aim to help them achieve their objectives in this area by putting sustainability at the forefront of all our activities.”

Joining Adkins at Firetec Systems is Keith Goodall, who has taken on the role of engineering director. A chartered engineer, who has worked in senior roles within the industry for more than 40 years, Goodall adds that he is a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
